Caitlin and Ryan were the winners of my engagement session giveaway back in February! I have been so excited to meet them, hear about how they met, and all their wedding planning details! While we were planning the engagement session, Caitlin really wanted to be able to include their dog, Zing, and I knew it would be a blast!
We met up at Holmes Run Stream Valley Park in Alexandria. This was a perfect area for Zing to be able to walk around, and for us to capture some beautiful images! Ryan’s parents came along to help with Zing, and they were just the sweetest! They wandered the park with us and helped to scout out some locations. Caitlin is certainly lucky to be able to call them family soon! The light that evening was beautiful, and we found the cutest spots in the park! Zing participated in the photos, and he made sure he always knew where mom and dad were! He was absolutely adorable, and it filled my heart up with puppy love!
As we walked, I got to hear all about Caitlin and Ryan’s wedding plans in Calvert County. They will be having a beautiful ceremony and reception at Jefferson Patterson Park, so their engagement photos will compliment their outdoor wedding theme. Ryan works for the fire department, and I loved that he brought some of his gear along to capture some fun and unique shots personal to them. That gear was heavy and hot, but Ryan and Caitlin had fun with it! We climbed through wooded areas, walked across river stones, and had a little adventure!
Both Caitlin and Ryan are so genuine and so easy to talk to! Like most couples, they were both nervous at first being in front of the camera. But within a few minutes, both were laughing together, and their connection and love just shines through their photos. Caitlin has such classic beauty (and a huge heart) that radiates effortlessly. These two are headed into wonderful plans for next year, and who knows what more their future holds! Side by side, they’ll get to walk through life together. I am so honored that I was able to be a part of their story!
